Legal Assistant - Marshfield

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, optimistic person to be the first point of contact in our Marshfield, Wisconsin, office. Our niche law firm focuses exclusively on estate planning, elder law, and estate administration, and we are looking for a legal assistant/receptionist to join our team.

We are looking for a full-time employee (36 hours/week) but will consider part-time employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include:

• General office administrative duties
• Overseeing the attorney's calendar
• Answer and screen telephone calls
• Greet visitors and direct them appropriately
• Process incoming and outgoing mail; occasional deliveries of outgoing mail and parcels to the Post Office and/or UPS
• Maintain the reception area
• Drafting correspondence and other legal documents as required
• Opening and closing files, both physically and electronically
• Coordinating with our main office for ordering of all office supplies
• Opportunity to train to assist with probate and estate administration duties

Qualifications:

• Basic computer and Microsoft Office Experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Filing skills
• High level of organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Professional office skills
• Ability to take independent action to make sound decisions
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to be flexible and open-minded.
